Ubisoft said that Assassin's Creed Infinity, which is the project's name (not confirmed yet), will be a live online game like Grand Theft Auto Online that will require you to own the base game to play it online. The existence of this project was first reported in July and the developer gradually shared its details since then. It was confirmed during the developer's last conference call discussing the company's financial results, reports Engadget. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has confirmed that Assassin's Creed Infinity will not be a free-to-play online game like its previous versions.
